Nigerian rapper and singer Yung6ix has publicly disclosed his struggle with a long-term marijuana addiction, revealing he has been using the substance for over two decades.
Taking to social media platform X, the artist admitted that after 21 years of smoking weed, his body is now signaling the need for change.
Despite attempts to quit, he acknowledged the difficulty and reached out to fans and the public for support.
“Coming out today to tell everyone I need help. I’ve been smoking for 21 years now and my body is telling me to stop. I’m trying but it’s not easy,” he wrote.
“I’ve reduced how much I spend buying weed to $600 a month and I need help to turn that to $0. Any help?”
The heartfelt post drew attention from fans and industry colleagues. Fellow rapper Phenom responded with encouragement, sharing that he successfully quit smoking a decade ago with professional assistance. He offered to connect Yung6ix with the doctor who helped him.
“10 years since I quit smoking. [I] can link you up with the doctor that helped me,” Phenom shared.
