Afrobeats sensation Omah Lay has shared his excitement over receiving his first-ever Grammy nomination, while also downplaying the personal significance of awards in his career.
The singer earned the nod for his collaboration with Davido on the track “With You,” which is nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
In a post on his fan platform on Instagram, Omah Lay expressed joy at the recognition but made it clear that awards are not his primary focus. He instead celebrated his collaborator, describing Davido as a loyal friend who has supported him through challenging times.
