Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is seeking maximum points for the team ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations,” Prompt News reports.
Justine Madugu’s side are looking to win a 10th title in Morocco.
The 25-year-old admitted that there is pressure on the team to win the title, but is confident they can achieve their objective with strong support from the fans.
“We know people expect us to win, and we also expect their support in return,”Ajibade said.
“We want them to pray for us and back us in every way they can, so we can go far and win the tournament.
“Their support means a lot to us, and we’ll do everything possible to make them proud and fly the Nigerian flag high “
The Super Falcons will begin their WAFCON 2024 campaign against Tunisia on Sunday, July 6, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
Subsequent group fixtures will see them face Botswana and Algeria as they look to maintain their proud record of always reaching at least the semi-finals since the competition’s inception in 1998.
