VeryDarkMan Unveils Hidden Factor Behind Rising Terrorism In Nigeria

Controversial Nigerian media figure Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has shared his thoughts on the surge of attacks across the country, insisting he knows the key to ending terrorism in Nigeria.

In a video posted on his social media page, VDM argued that terrorism continues to thrive because many regions — particularly the northern part of the country — lack adequate education.

According to him, this gap makes it easier for young people to be manipulated and recruited into violent groups.

He stated: “The only solution to terrorism is to educate the Northerners. Any Nigerian leader that will take four years out of his eight years to educate the North. Force education on them have solved terrorism problems. Let them have the knowledge because knowledge is power. Until then, Nigeria may suffer more in years to come. They don’t go to school in the North, rather they study religion. That is why the fewer people that are educated keep using the uneducated as their weapons.”

VDM went on to describe how easily vulnerable youths can be mobilized: “If I want to start terrorism today, I will go to Madugri, Zamfara or somewhere. If you go to the North, you see a lot of young people in the streets begging. You can easily pack ten thousand of them and bring them to Abuja.”

Prompt News reports he concluded by warning that the situation could deteriorate further if the root cause is not addressed, adding that even global military forces would struggle without educational reforms.

In his words: “Terr0rism in Nigeria is not stopping anytime soon. As a matter of fact it will come harder at us in years to come. Because the only solutions is not being applied. Even if the United States soldiers come in to Nigeria today they won’t still be able to stop the future.”

VDM’s remarks have sparked fresh debate on the role of education, governance, and long-term policy in tackling insecurity.
