UD Tenerife president, Sergio Batista has said Super Falcons forward, Monday Gift fully deserved her new contract.
Monday committed her future to the club by penning a new three-year contract this week.
The new contract will keep the talented striker at the Spanish Iberdola side until 2027.
Batista said the desire to keep their best players prompted the club to hand the Nigerian a new contract.
“We want to build a solid future by extending contracts of those players that we consider important,” he told the club’s official website
“There is no doubt that Gift Monday is one of them. She is a young footballer, with a great future, good performance and who has adapted to the Island.
“One of the best news that we can give to our season ticket holders and fans is a renewal like that of Gift Monday.”
The 22-year-old signed for Tenerife from Nigerian club FC Robo Queens in 2022.
