Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Tope “Teddy A” Adenibuyan and his wife, Bamike “BamBam” Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, have stirred fresh speculation about their marriage after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The celebrity couple, whose love story began during the 2018 edition of the BBNaija reality show, have long been regarded as one of the franchise’s strongest success stories. However, recent social media developments have raised concerns among their followers.
Speculation about a possible rift intensified after Teddy A recently addressed allegations that he once assaulted his wife. The reality star firmly denied the claims, describing them as false and harmful to his personal reputation and professional opportunities.
According to him, the rumours negatively influenced how brands perceived him and cost him potential deals.
“When they said I was beating my wife, it was a lot for me. That day, I woke up and went downstairs. My wife was pregnant, and we were just laughing,” he said.
“I checked my phone, and I saw my notification going up, and I was like, I didn’t drop any content that is trending.
“What did I do, or what are they saying now. Then I’m going through comments, and I am surprised. You know my wife is a bit emotional, and she started asking who would have done this.
“I thought it was probably one ex or ‘village people.’ I called my manager, and he advised me not to fuel the fire and to let it go.
“It affected my image. Anytime my wife and I posted, the comments were terrible because we didn’t immediately debunk the claims.”

While some social media users linked the current tension to BamBam’s recent on-screen kiss in a movie role, others cautioned against drawing conclusions, stressing that online behaviour does not always reflect the true state of a relationship.
Nevertheless, checks by Prompt News confirmed that both Teddy A and BamBam are no longer following each other on Instagram, further fuelling rumours of a possible marital crisis.
