Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has called out fellow music star Burna Boy, challenging him to settle their differences in the boxing ring.
The Akpi crooner made the challenge during a recent interview with Hip TV, where he claimed he was ready to put up a substantial amount of money if Burna Boy agreed to fight him.
Speed Darlington also expressed confidence in his ability to defeat the Grammy-winning singer, insisting that Burna Boy’s popularity as a musician would not give him an advantage in a physical confrontation.
“I challenge Burna Boy to fight me. I will drop a huge sum just to fight him. I want to fight him. I will beat him. He’s all hype. He can’t beat me. Just because some people like his music doesn’t mean he can beat me. I am challenging him,” he said.
The latest challenge comes months after another Nigerian entertainer, Portable, claimed that Burna Boy rewarded him with N20m following a boxing match involving Speed Darlington.
Prompt News reports Portable made the allegation in April after claiming that he defeated Speed Darlington in a boxing bout.

Portable alleged that Burna Boy gave him the money because of the victory over Speed Darlington, who had previously directed several taunts at the Grammy-winning singer.
Speed Darlington had been making allegations about Burna Boy and embattled American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, including claims that Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with Diddy in exchange for his Grammy award.
Burna Boy has not publicly responded to Speed Darlington’s latest challenge in the supplied report.
