Nigerian singer Simi and her husband, Adekunle Gold, have welcomed their second child, marking another milestone in their family life.
The couple announced the news on Instagram, where Simi shared elegant maternity photos of the duo dressed in matching denim outfits. She revealed that the baby arrived on March 10, 2026, while subtly addressing earlier speculation that she had given birth to twins.
“+1. 3.10.26. God bless my little family #mommyof2,” she wrote, confirming she is now a mother of two without disclosing the baby’s gender or name.
The announcement comes after weeks of speculation and online rumours, as Simi had briefly stepped away from social media following backlash over resurfaced old tweets. The controversy initially stemmed from her strong stance against rape, but later shifted when some of her old posts drew criticism online.
Simi later clarified that the tweets were misinterpreted and not intended to cause harm, as discussions around the issue continued to circulate publicly. Authorities reportedly indicated plans to look into the matter, though the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) noted that pursuing the case would be difficult without clear evidence.
