Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has provided a positive injury update on Jerome Adams, Prompt News reports.
Adams has been sidelined since sustaining a calf injury in training last month.
Pimienta has however revealed the Nigerian is nearing a return to action again.
“He has done some work with the rehabilitation therapist,” he told the club’s official website.
“He has to undergo tests to see if he can be back next week.
“To be with the national team, I understand that he has to be cleared for competition . But that depends on the medical team.
“It is logical that his national team wants to call him up, but I understand that he has to recover well first.”
The 24-year-old has made one appearance for Sevilla since making the switch from Ligue 1 club Montpellier in January.
