Senate President Condoles Gov. Oshiomole Over Oliha’s Death


President of the Senate, David Mark has described the death of former midfielder Thompson Oliha as a tragedy to soccer and a loss to the nation.

Mr. Mark in a condolence message to the Governor of State Adams Oshiomole on the demise of the member of the victorious 1994   of Nations in Tunisia said has lost one its soccer Hero

He noted the exploits of the late soccer star both as a footballer and coach saying that Oliha would be remembered for his patriotism and commitment to the ideals of nationhood.

The Senate President noted that Oliha’s would have a pride of place in the history of the Nigerian football as one of those brought honour and glory to his father land.

He urged the government and people of state especially the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that the deceased soccer star lived a worthy life and left  a positive imprint on the sand of time.

Mr. Mark prayed that God in His infinite mercies grant the deceased eternal rest just as he prayed for the family to have the courage and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
