Sadiq Umar has backed Ademola Lookman to make a big impact with Atletico Madrid, Prompt News reports.
Lookman moved to Atletico Madrid on the final day of winter transfer window.
The Nigeria international made an impressive debut for the Rojiblancos, providing a goal and an assist in the club’s Copa del Rey 5-0 win over Real Betis on Thursday.
“I am glad to see him in La Liga because this is the best league in the world and the best league needs the best players and Ademola Lookman is one of the best players right now,”
Sadiq told Sporty TV.
“It’s time for La Liga to know who he is and the world will confirm who he is.
“I wish him all the best and I will see him soon.”
The 28-year-old will look to make his maiden LaLiga appearance when Atletico host Real Betis at the Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday (today).
