The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Deputy National Chairman (South) Elder Yemi Akinwonmi, has said that era of hardship will be over once the party takes over leadership at the centre.
Akinwonmi said this on Monday during a town hall meeting in his country home Ayede in Ogun-Water side Local Government area of Ogun-State.
According to statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Mr Anthony Agbetuyi, addressing the crowd, Akinwonmi urged all the PDP members to vote for total change in the 2019 general election by voting PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar as the next President of the country so that Nigeria can start working again.
The Deputy National Chairman encouraged all PDP members to come out and vote out hunger, hardship, insecurity and other negative vices the ruling party APC represents so that common man can be able to provide three square meal for his family.
Akinwonmi also encouraged all Christians and Muslims to use this festive period to pray for successful conduct of 2019 general elections.
He also used the opportunity to inform PpDP members throughout the country to vote for the party’s candidates at the States and Federal level.
Akinwonmi urged PDP members not to be intimidated by APC Security apparatus while fulfilling their electoral franchise.
