For the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), it’s “One Week One Trouble” as Mr. Justice Edem Ita Koofreh of Calabar High Court has granted an order of interim injunction against the embattled National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.
The Judge in a suit number HC/240/202 filed by a Cross River state member of PDP, Mr. Enang Kanum Wani also barred Secondus from re-contesting for the post of the National Chairman of PDP.
But most importantly he was also barred from attending today’s (Saturday) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party pending the determination of the suit.
The presiding Judge in his wisdom adjourned the matter to September 7, 2021 for hearing.
Prompt News reports that the embattled Secondus was earlier this week removed by a High Court in Rivers state but was reinstated on Thursday by another High Court in Kebbi state.
He only resumed on Friday at Wadata House Headquarters of the PDP in Wuse, Abuja but has been tossed out again by a Calabar High Court.
