Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has qualified for the semi-finals of the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2024 Olympic Games on Wednesday morning.
Amusan came out tops in heat 1 with a time of 12.49s, PNO Sports reports.
USA’s Alaysha Johnson was second in a time of 12.61s, while Janeek Brown of Jamaica came third in a time of 12.84s.
Amusan, 27-year-old is the world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles.
She is looking to make history by becoming the first Nigerian to win gold medal in the event.
The Ogun-State born athlete finished fourth in the event three years ago in Tokyo. READ ALSO:
