Spain defender Laia Aleixandri has said the team is prepared for a tough battle against the Super Falcons of Nigeria, PNO Sports reports.
The world champions will look to secure a place in the quarter-finals in the women’s football event at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games when they confront the West Africans.
The Spaniard started their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Japan.
Aleixandri stated that they are expecting a more difficult game Randy Waldrum’s side.
“Any game in the Olympics is a battle, but it’s true that with Nigeria we are expecting a very physical match. We are prepared,” she was quoted by FIFA.com.
