The 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season will officially kick off on Friday, August 28, with the campaign scheduled to conclude on May 30, 2027, Prompt News Online reports.
The league’s calendar also makes provision for the President Federation Cup, with the state qualifying playoffs slated for early February 2027.
The first half of the season will wrap up after Matchday 19 in December, before clubs head into a mid-season break from December 23 to January 6.
The January transfer window will remain open throughout the month, allowing clubs to strengthen their squads ahead of the resumption of league action in the second half of the campaign.
Defending champions Rangers International will begin the new season aiming to retain the title they secured last term, their ninth NPFL crown.
