**Information Minister, A-list guests to attend event

Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed and retired Honourable Justice Amina Augie have confirmed their physical attendance to Chair and deliver the keynote address at the 35th anniversary conference, Annual General Meeting (AGM), Dinner and Awards ceremony of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) slated for UBEC Complex, Kado District, Abuja on November 27, 2025.
Also, to attend the anniversary events are Information and National Orientation minister Mohammed Idris; Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and Hon. Zephaniah Jisalo; President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku and captains of industries, academia, Civil Society Organisations and other high-profile individuals within and outside Nigeria.
This much was disclosed by Stanley Ogadigo, Chairman, NIPR FCT Chapter, at a press briefing on the Chapter’s 35th anniversary celebration held on Monday at NIPR FCT Chapter secretariat, Bolingo Xperia Hotel, Abuja
He also revealed that the anniversary will feature a free Public Relations (PR) Workshop for the undergraduates of University of Abuja, focusing on “Building Reputation
in the Digital Age” on November 26, 2025. He said that this is part of his Chapter’s Corporate Social Responsibility to the next generation of communicators.
According to him many prominent Nigerians within the country and outside including the Bauchi state governor who has already confirmed to be physically present to Chair the occasion, adding that Minister Idris and NIPR President will be the Host and Chief Host respectively.
Speaking further, Ogadigo said that the anniversary conference and AGM are part of the activities lined up to celebrate NIPR FCT Chapter which turned 35 years this year.
Said he: “This is honouring individuals and organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of Abuja as the nations capital”.
On the guests who have been invited for the chains of events marking the annihilation, he said: “We are honoured to announce that His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State has confirmed his physical attendance to Chair the conference.
“Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Rt. Hon. Zephaniah Jisalo will be the Special Guest of Honour, Hon. Justice Amina Augie will deliver the Keynote Address, while Alhaji Mohammed Idris, fnipr, Hon. Minister of Information and National Orientation, will serve as Host Minister, NIPR President, Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr will be the chief Host.
The NIPR FCT Chapter boss hinted that there are also confirmations from top government functionaries, captains of industries, academia, civil society, diplomatic community among others to attend the event.
His speech read in part: “Today, I stand before you with immense pride as we formally announce the 35th anniversary celebration of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, FCT Chapter.
“In our case, thirty-five years is not just a number, it is a testament to dedication, resilience, and the unwavering commitment of public relations professionals who have made Abuja not just Nigeria’s capital city, but a beacon of excellence in strategic communication and reputation management.
“Our anniversary theme, “Leadership for Inclusive Development and Nation Branding,” was carefully chosen to reflect the prime role leadership plays in the
development of the society and nation building, emphasising the new narrative of public relations as a leadership function which is championed by the global body of public relations.
“As public relations professionals, we recognise that we have a sacred responsibility to help reshape narratives, build bridges of understanding, and position our nation for sustainable development. We believe that true leadership must be inclusive, cutting across sectors, demographics, and backgrounds. It must carry everyone along to achieve the desired national growth”.
On his Chapter’s commitment to giving back to the society, Ogadigo said that: “This anniversary is not about us celebrating ourselves. It is about giving back to the society that has nurtured us. We have carefully designed a series of impactful programs that will leave lasting legacies in our community”.
On the tree planting and environmental sustainability, he said on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Abuja will witness formal unveiling of the Flame of the Forest tree as the Reputation Tree of Abuja Vegetation.
The NIPR FCT Chapter, he said has already planted stands of these beautiful trees at the Wuye Interchange Loops, the approved location as part of its CSR in partnership with the Abuja Parks and Recreation
Department of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
“This initiative reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability. We want to leave
green legacies that future generations will benefit from”, he said.

The ceremonial unveiling of the reputation trees will take place at the Wuye Interchange Loops at 10am with Hon. Josua Chinedu Obika, representing Abuja Municipal/Bwari Federal Constituency, as our
Special Guest of Honour.
Meanwhile, NIPR FCT Chapter Chairman said that this 35th anniversary is more than a celebration as it is a recommitment to excellence, service, and nation building.
“We are grateful to the NIPR President, Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, for his inspiring leadership at the Institute, our distinguished supportive members, and to all our partners for their continuous support to the growth and development of the chapter, he said.
