Nigerian music star L.A.X has taken a major step in his personal life after getting engaged to his partner, Ella.
The singer announced the engagement on Thursday via his Instagram page, where he shared a video capturing the romantic proposal. In the clip, L.A.X leads Ella to a beautifully decorated riverbank filled with flowers before presenting her with a bouquet. He then goes down on one knee to pop the question.
Overcome with emotion, Ella is seen shedding tears before joyfully accepting the proposal.
L.A.X accompanied the video with the caption, “To loving you forever always. D & E”.
Shortly after the post went live, fans, friends and colleagues flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages for the couple.
Born Damilola Afolabi, L.A.X began his music journey as a rapper during his secondary school days, performing with a group known as Flyboiz before eventually pursuing a solo career.
He rose to prominence in 2013 with the release of ‘Caro’, a chart-topping collaboration with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment. The song earned a nomination for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Building on that success, L.A.X later collaborated again with Wizkid on ‘Ginger’, a track that further cemented his place in the Nigerian music scene.
Prompt News reports the singer later went on to establish his own record label, Rasaki Music.
