The incident reportedly occurred around 11.30am on Wednesday behind Isiyaka Jibrin Quarters in the Bakin Kura area of the state capital.
It was learnt that the victim was involved in a political altercation with a man identified as Lawi when Gore allegedly arrived with a machete and attacked him, severing his wrist.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed in a statement on Wednesday that operatives of the A Division Township had arrested Lawi in connection with the incident.
According to the police, the victim was immediately taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he received emergency medical attention and remained on admission, responding to treatment.
