Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Mohammed Sanusi and other top officials have arrived Asaba, Delta State for the funeral rites of the deceased father of Super Eagles’ captain Wilfred Ndidi, Prompt News reports.
Also on the delegation as well were NFF Executive Committee Member, Rt. Hon. Nse Essien; Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, Hon. Godwin Adode; NFF’s Director of Media & Communications, Dr Ademola Olajire and; Board Members of the Delta State Football Association.
They met Ndidi at his residence on arrival in Asaba on Thursday.
In presenting a formal letter of condolence to the former Leicester City star, Sanusi conveyed the heartfelt grief and sadness of the entire Nigeria football family over the tragic passing of Mr. Sunday Ndidi.
Sunday Ndidi tragically passed away after he was hit by a car in the town of Umunede, near Agbor, Delta State late last month.
He will be laid to rest in Umunede, later today.
