Actress and television presenter Nancy Isime has warned individuals and organisations against falsely claiming to represent her in professional or commercial dealings.

Isime issued the warning on Monday in a public notice posted on her Instagram page, where she disclosed that some people had allegedly been presenting themselves as authorised representatives without her consent.

She said the notice was necessary to prevent confusion and ensure that anyone seeking to do business with her deals only with properly authorised representatives.

The statement read, “My attention has been drawn to instances of certain persons purporting to act, negotiate or otherwise represent my interests without authority. This notice is therefore issued to clarify the position and avoid any misunderstanding.”

She specifically cautioned brands, agencies, corporate organisations, media houses, event organisers, producers, business partners and other stakeholders against entering agreements with anyone claiming to act on her behalf without her express approval.

The actress stated, “The general public, including brands, agencies, corporate organisations, media organisations, event organisers, Producers, business partners and other stakeholders, are advised that no person or entity is authorised to represent, negotiate, contract, make commitments or otherwise act on my behalf unless expressly authorised by me.”

Prompt News reports Isime further urged individuals and organisations planning to engage her for professional or commercial purposes to confirm the authority of anyone claiming to represent her before signing agreements or making payments.

She said, “All persons and organisations intending to engage with me are therefore advised to verify the authority of any person purporting to act on my behalf before entering any arrangement or making any payment in connection with my professional or commercial engagements.”

To facilitate verification, Isime provided an official email address and the contact details of her legal representatives for stakeholders seeking confirmation regarding her representation.

She added, “For matters requiring formal legal or commercial coordination concerning me, stakeholders are advised to seek confirmation via info@nancyisime.com and/or through my legal counsel, PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors.”

The actress also made it clear that she would take legal steps over any unauthorised dealings carried out in her name.

“I reserve all rights and remedies available to me in respect of any unauthorised representation, dealing, or transaction undertaken in my name or purportedly on my behalf.”
