Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has opened up about her relationships, marriage and some of the personal challenges she has faced.
Ogala spoke about her private life during an appearance on The Clarity Zone podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia.
Asked who would assume the role of Abia State’s “first man” if she wins the governorship election, the actress revealed that she is currently single.
She disclosed that she was previously in a relationship with Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, popularly known as Liberation City.
According to Ogala, their relationship lasted from 2017 to 2019 before she went on to get married.
She said her marriage later collapsed in 2022, attributing the breakdown to the emotional strain associated with experiencing multiple miscarriages.
“I’m single now. I dated Pastor Chris Okafor from 2017 to 2019 and then I got married, but my marriage still crashed in 2022 because I had over 10 miscarriages,” Ogala said.
Prompt News reports the actress became emotional while recounting the experience, reflecting on the difficult period and the impact it had on her personal life.
