A 31-year-old man, Muyiwa Adebayo, was on Friday arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly being in unlawful possession of an Oyo State Internal Revenue ticket.
Adebayo, whose residential address was not disclosed, is facing a charge of unlawful possession of government property.
According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Tellang, the incident occurred on June 17 at about 11:35 a.m. at Iwo Road, Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant was found with the revenue ticket but failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for its possession.
The offence, Tellang said, contravenes Section 430 of the Criminal Code of Oyo State, 2000.
Adebayo pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Magistrate Moyosore Atanda granted him bail in the sum of N200,000, with two sureties in like amount, and adjourned the matter until July 7 for hearing.
