An Enugu Air aircraft on Thursday veered off the runway after landing at Benin Airport, with all 67 passengers and five crew members emerging unhurt.
The Embraer E170 aircraft, bearing registration number 5NENR, reportedly landed at about 1:57 p.m. UTC before the runway incident occurred.
In a statement, the airline confirmed that everyone on board safely disembarked and that no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
Enugu Air said the aircraft had been secured, while the appropriate aviation authorities had been notified in accordance with established safety procedures.
The airline added that investigations and a technical assessment of the aircraft, as well as the circumstances surrounding the incident, were ongoing.
It noted that the occurrence could lead to temporary adjustments to some flight schedules, assuring affected passengers that they would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.
