Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi is now expected to link up with the Super Eagles squad ahead of next week’s international friendly against World Cup-bound Portugal, Prompt News Online reports.
Iwobi was unavailable for Nigeria’s 2-2 draw against Poland in Warsaw on Sunday.
Team officials are also optimistic that defender Bright Osayi-Samuel will rejoin the squad before the clash with Portugal.
Osayi-Samuel’s absence against Poland saw Abdullahi Bewene drafted into the team.
The Super Eagles will face Portugal on Wednesday, June 10.
The last meeting between both nations came in a pre-2022 FIFA World Cup friendly, with Portugal cruising to a 4-0 victory.
