Nollywood actor Afeez Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has defended actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele’s strict approach to work, describing her as a professional who demands commitment from everyone on her set.
Saka made this known during a recent interview while reflecting on his experience working with the award-winning filmmaker.
The actor said he has no complaints about working with Akindele, noting that she treated him well and maintains high standards because of the scale of the projects she handles.
He explained that being firm is necessary when managing multimillion-naira productions and stressed that Akindele’s strictness should not be mistaken for having a bad temper.
“I have worked with Funke Akindele and she treated me very well.
“To those saying she’s strict on set, to be honest, I like it that way. I’m saying this publicly, not to gain anything.
“You have to be strong to handle a multimillion-naira project, and it isn’t easy. She’s humble, and she doesn’t tolerate nonsense. It’s not that she has a bad temper. Once you do the right thing, she has no problem with you.”
Prompt News reports Saka further described Akindele as someone who takes her work seriously and does not allow unnecessary distractions during production.

“When it comes to work, Funke doesn’t joke. But when it’s time to entertain, she’s playful. I don’t have anything against her,” he said.
The actor also warned that people who are not committed to their work may struggle to fit into Akindele’s working environment.
“If you are lazy, you can’t work with her because she doesn’t like laziness,” he added.
