Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has addressed speculation about her relationship with fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin, following a misunderstanding over a social media interaction.
Okeowo clarified that Lizzy has never been her friend and insisted that she maintains no close friendships within the movie industry, preferring cordial relations with her colleagues.
“Let me make this very clear once, so nobody will pretend not to understand. And if anyone pretends to and continues with the wrong narrative, then expect the wrath of God. That person has NEVER been my friend. We were never friends in real life. I also do not have any close friends in the movie industry. I’m cordial with my colleagues, and I have no issues with anyone, well, that I know of. I’m cool with everyone, including her, too,” she wrote on her social media page.
She also explained that she had not supported Lizzy’s alleged curses or liked any post related to cursing. Any engagement on social media, she said, was simply out of courtesy and reciprocity.
“Now, to what I want to address. I did not support her curses or like any curse post. My likes on her posts were never to support fights. I detest curses. Anyone close to me can testify to that. I don’t even allow negative words around me. That is why I don’t even know if I’m being dragged right now or not, as put by some of you, because I don’t watch such,” she added.
Okeowo emphasized her neutral stance when colleagues are involved in conflicts and stressed that she does not encourage inheriting other people’s disputes.
“Choosing not to take sides has been my way of life. I have people I don’t talk to, but I will tell my children not to follow suit. I don’t encourage anyone to inherit even my own enmity. I have people who can testify to that, too,” she said.
The actress also addressed false narratives about her children, clarifying their parentage.
“Let me state it clearly: my children are from the same father. They are both OKEOWO,” she asserted.

Biodun further recounted past interactions with Lizzy, highlighting instances where she had appreciated gestures but remained cautious of misleading claims.
“Backwards to 2024, when she claimed she fought for me, she did it of her own volition, and I sent her a DM to appreciate her. Though I know that her intercession looks more like an indirect call for dragging… She knows nothing about the video I did in 2024 or me coming out to address that issue,” she explained.
Prompt News reports the actress concluded by reiterating that she and Lizzy Anjorin have only been colleagues, and nothing more.
“Before dropping the pen, I’m stating this clearly: we are not friends, never been. We were colleagues,” Okeowo said.
