Cross River Governor Ben Ayade, canvasses Justice

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has tasked the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to bring the alleged killers of late Miss Joy Odama, to justice.
Odama, a 200 Level student of Cross River State University of Science and Technology, CRUTEC, was allegedly murdered by one Alhaji on December 21, 2016, in Karmo, a suburb of Abuja.
The governor’s position was made known by his Senior Special Adviser on Branding and Communications, Dr. Dorncklaimz Enamhe in Abuja at meeting of Cross River Professionals.
Enamhe said: “Governor Ayade has vowed to fight for justice for late Odama and the killers brought to book.
“The Governor has also mandated the Cross River State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Joe Abang, to mobilise and proceed on with the case, and has constituted a legal team, led by former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Kanu Agabi (SAN), to ensure justice prevails in this case.”
Speaking in the same vein, Ms. Patience Obim, a legal practitioner said the move was to give assurance to Cross Riverians wherever that they have a government and those that can standup for them when their rights are abridged.
Obim said it was important that there is closure to the matter so that the family, especially the mother of the deceased, can have some respite knowing that justice have been done concerning the unfortunate death of Joy Odama.
The late Odama was 20 years old and hails from Okuku in Yala Local Government of Cross River State.
