The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will take part in an invitational tournament in China next week as part of their preparations for the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship, Prompt News Online reports.
The five-time FIFA U-17 World Cup winners began preparations for the regional tournament in Abuja last Tuesday under the guidance of head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere.
Most of the players in camp were selected from the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) U-15 programme held last year.
The squad is expected to be trimmed after the team’s tournament in China.Burkina Faso will host the WAFU B U-17 Championship in November,with the tournament serving as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
The Golden Eaglets failed to qualify for the last edition of the U-17 AFCON.
