The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has declared that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is no longer viable, suggesting that its leader, former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is poised to rejoin the ruling party.

During a courtesy visit by the Tinubu Support Group to the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, Ganduje expressed that the APC was ready to welcome Kwankwaso back into the fold, emphasizing the party’s growing strength with the influx of prominent politicians and lawmakers from various regions.

“The NNPP is dead, and it will soon be buried. The coffin is already prepared, and all that remains is to dig the grave,” Ganduje said.

He further added that even Kwankwaso, having lost support from his party, was seeking to return to the APC “We will welcome him back, because he is coming home,” he stated.

Ganduje also dismissed efforts by opposition parties to form a coalition against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, predicting that such alliances would ultimately collapse, with their leaders eventually returning to the APC.
