Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai was on Friday buried at the Ikoyi Cemetery in Lagos, Prompt News reports.
Rufai died at the age of 61 last month after a prolonged illness.
The funeral service was held at the Catholic Church of Visitation, Festac, Lagos.
Dignatories at the burial were Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development, Adeboye Adeyinka, Nigeria Football Federation, and NFF, Executive Member Ganiyu Majekodunmi.
Others were; NFF’s Director of Communication Ademola Olajire, ace broadcaster Yomi Opakunle, and members of Stationery Stores Supporters club.
Rufai was a member of the Super Eagles squad side that won the title at the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations.He was was included in the squad to the 1994 World Cup in the United States of America.
