Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has humorously suggested that he may look beyond Nigeria — possibly to East Africa — in his search for a life partner.
The Mavin Records boss made the comment during a light-hearted interaction with fans on Instagram after one follower described him as an “African treasure” belonging to the entire continent rather than just Nigeria.
“Don Jazzy at this point an African treasure. Yes, he belongs to all of us now, not just you Nigerians,” the fan wrote.
Reacting, the music executive agreed in a playful tone, saying he often feels connected to several African countries, including Ghana, South Africa, and even Uganda, despite never visiting the East African nation.
“Sometimes, I feel like I’m Ghanaian, sometimes South African. Sometimes I feel like I’m Ugandan, even though I haven’t been to Uganda, and I hear it’s hot there,” he said.
He then jokingly turned the conversation toward relationships, hinting that he might consider finding love outside Nigeria.
“I heard that the babes there are nice. If you are from Uganda and you are a babe, do you girls like me there? Maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should go and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania.”
