Enyimba’s technical adviser, Emmanuel Deutsch, has expressed his views on his side’s Oriental Derby loss to Rangers, Prompt News reports.
Rangers rallied to beat the People’s Elephant 2-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday .
Wonah Williams gave Enyimba the lead one minute before the break.
Rangers scored twice in the second half through Chidozie Iwundu, and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi.
Deutsch stated that his players gave their best in the keenly contested encounter.
“Losing such a derby game away isn’t that bad. It wasn’t a bad game, we scored the first goal, they equalised and scored the second. They needed the victory the way we needed,” the Cameroonian was quoted by the NPFL media.
Rangers reclaimed top spot on the table following the win, while Enyimba dropped to 13th position.
