Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has reconciled with the content creator who falsely claimed she was HIV positive.
Back in July, the Yoruba movie star had vowed to take legal action and make an example of him after the damaging post circulated online. At the time, she questioned why some bloggers and content creators spread unverified information, lamenting that such lies had reached even her family and friends.
However, in a video shared on her Instagram page, Amusa revealed she had a change of heart after initially involving the police. She explained that her decision to forgive came after discovering the young man’s personal struggles.

“I am making this video regarding the peddling issue about myself and a content creator who defamed my character and put out wrong information about my HIV status, which has gone viral and has had people have different opinions about me. I did promise to make him a scapegoat, which I did, but I realise he just lost his mum, he is a 27-year-old boy, and I got to meet his relatives – his uncle, the lawyer,” she said.
In the caption accompanying the post, the actress emphasized the importance of forgiveness, noting that mistakes are part of human nature.
“CASE CLOSED. To err is human, to forgive is divine. Making mistakes is a natural and inherent part of being human, they say. LET’S BE GUIDED,” she wrote.
