Afrobeats superstar Davido has shown support for Peter Okoye’s latest track, “I Can’t Look Away”, describing it as impressive and unexpectedly good.
Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, recently released the single, which tells the story of being completely drawn to a captivating love interest that becomes impossible to ignore.
Reacting via X on Sunday night, Davido expressed his approval of the song, calling it “low-key fire,” a comment that quickly drew attention from fans online.
“Can’t lie, that new Mr P song is lowkey fire,” he wrote.
In response, Mr P appreciated the endorsement, joking that Davido’s praise had made the track even more unavoidable for listeners.
“Appreciate it bro. Now you have made it even harder for people to look away 😂❤️🤝🏾 #ICantLookAway,” he replied.
Both artistes are prominent figures in the Nigerian music scene. Davido, born David Adeleke, rose to fame in 2012 with his breakout hit Dami Duro and has since become one of Africa’s biggest music exports and a leading name in Afrobeats.
