Joao Pedro netted the winning goal in the 34th minute as Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the London derby.
Enzo Maresca’s side moved to fourth position on the Premier League table following the win.
Tottenham Hotspur put up a toothless display in the game managing only one shot on target all match.
It was their their defeat under Thomas Frank in seven matches.
Pedro punished slack home defending to break the deadlock 11 minutes before half-time, but he could have walked off with a hat-trick after fine saves throughout by Guglielmo Vicario to deny the Brazilian attacker.
Chelsea’s victory makes it five in a row against Tottenham and 10 wins from the last 12 meetings in all competitions.
The Blues will host Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next game.
