Few days after Carter Efe defeated Portable to claim celebrity boxing title, Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to a celebrity boxing challenge involving fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, reigniting their long-running feud.
The challenge was first proposed in 2024 by entertainment promoter Paul Okoye, but has now resurfaced after Anjorin confirmed her readiness to participate, while introducing new conditions.
In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, Anjorin said she would only step into the ring with Iyabo Ojo after Okoye first faces her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round boxing bout.
“As of today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge. You and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be Iyabo Ojo and me in the ring,” she stated.
She also demanded that both Iyabo Ojo and Paul Okoye publicly provide proof of their assets and achievements, escalating the public exchange between the parties.
Anjorin further made allegations about their financial status, insisting that claims about wealth were exaggerated.
The dispute between both actresses has spanned several years, involving social media exchanges, legal actions, and public accusations.
In 2024, the proposed boxing match, which carried a ₦10 million prize, failed to hold, LEADERSHIP reports.
In 2025, Iyabo Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin, which was later struck out on procedural grounds.
The renewed development has again sparked public interest amid rising attention on celebrity boxing events in Nigeria.
