The Super Eagles defeated Angola 1-0 on Friday to book a place in the semi-final at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Stanley Nwabali was called into action early into the game.
The Chippa United dived at full stretch to deny Manuel Cafumana in the third minute.
The Super Eagles settled into game afterwards with Victor Osimhen coming close twice.
The breakthrough came five minutes before the break.
Moses Simon beat Buatu Jonathan from around the centre circle and raced into the Angolan defence before setting Ademola Lookman for the opening goal.
Nigeria wasted two good chances early in the second half.
Osimhen had a goal ruled out for offside 15 minutes from time.
The Super Eagles maintained their lead for the remainder of the game.
They will face the winner of the game between Cape Verde and South Africa in the semi-final on Wednesday.
