Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has added another academic achievement to his credentials after completing a postgraduate programme at the PFA Business School, Prompt News Online reports.
The Nigeria international graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship with Merit, and shared the achievement on Instagram.
“Another proud moment for me off the pitch,” Awoniyi wrote.
“Graduating from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship with Merit.
“I have always believed that being a footballer shouldn’t stop you from being a student of the game and education has become an important part of that journey for me.
“Still playing. Still learning. The journey continues.”
The programme focuses on the evolving role of the modern sporting director, covering key areas such as football leadership, sporting department management and long-term club development.
Awoniyi currently plays for Premier League club Coventry City.
