Nollywood star Adunni Ade has expressed excitement after securing victory in her defamation lawsuit against a Nigerian news outlet.
The actress filed the case nearly two years ago after a report surfaced naming her among “six popular Nigerian celebrities” allegedly linked to politician Senator Dino Melaye — a claim she publicly debunked.
Adunni Ade sued the media platform for invasion of privacy and defamation, demanding N100 million in damages.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday evening, she shared the outcome of the case while commending the Nigerian judiciary for delivering justice.
She wrote:
“Won my case Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited (www.naijanews.com). A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters – and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied.
“2 cases won, a few more to go. You who is running up and down avoiding court papers, please stand still, so that you can be served.”
When responding to followers in her comment section, the actress added: “Judge granted N20 million in damages, but blogger don japa. Na to garnish account remain.”
