Sevilla head coach Mattias Almeyda has said Akor Adams is in positive mood ahead of the team’s league clash with Barcelona, Prompt News reports.
The Rojiblancos will be the guests of Barcelona at the Sportify Nou Camp on Sunday.
Adams ended his five-game goal drought after hitting target in Sevilla’s 1-1 home draw with Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
The 25-year-old scored in the club’s 4-1 win over Barcelona earlier in the season.
Almeyda insisted that the Nigeria international is motivated to put up another impressive performance against Hansi Flick’s men.
“Well, what I can tell is that he’s doing well. Like all his teammates, he’s motivated, aware of what’s at stake. Everything we’re playing for is very close, and everyone is important,” Almeyda said.
“And whenever the strikers score, that’s what we need. So I’d say that after scoring a goal, he must be very motivated. Especially with the opponent we’re going to face.”
