Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba will be laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The burial arrangements were announced by her family in an obituary shared on the actress’ Instagram page on Monday.
According to the funeral programme, Osoba’s remains will depart from the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH), Sagamu, at 9am before the burial service at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.
The service is scheduled to take place between 10am and 11am.
The family stated in the obituary, “Body leaves OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. Burial service Thursday 10th of September, 10:00am–11:00am, Akesan Club opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.”
It further announced that the interment would take place at Iperu Remo Cemetery immediately after the service, with mourners expected to dress in white.
“Interment: Iperu Remo Cemetery ground, immediately after burial service,” the family stated, while the dress code was listed as “White.”
Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, died in August 2026 at the age of 40.
The Yoruba actress and producer spent almost two decades in the Nigerian film industry, featuring in several productions, including Oogun Mi.
Before her death, Osoba had publicly shared her experience battling breast cancer and sought financial assistance for her treatment and surgery.
In August 2025, she announced that she had recovered and was returning to acting. She described the period as a time of healing, rebranding and empowerment.

However, questions surrounding the circumstances of her death have persisted, following conflicting accounts from her fiancé and members of her family.
Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, alleged that Osoba died after she was taken to a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos. Members of her family, however, reportedly provided a different account of what happened during her final hours.
The differing versions prompted calls for further investigation into the events preceding her death.
Actor Yomi Fabiyi also called for an investigation and autopsy to determine the actual circumstances surrounding Osoba’s death.
Following her demise, the family cautioned against spreading unverified information about the actress’ death and urged the public and media to rely on updates issued through its official channels.
Prompt News reports Osoba’s burial was originally fixed for August 13 in Iperu Remo but was subsequently postponed indefinitely by her family.
The family has now announced September 10 as the new date for her final burial rites.
