ABUJA – Senator Ali Modu Sheriff Monday afternoon suceeded in taking over affairs at the National secretariat of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.
Earlier in the day, he had stormed the secretariat to take charge but was prevented by policemen guiding the building.
Sheriff stepped aside and right there outside the party secretariat, he was sent putting a call through to the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arise, following which he was allowed into the building.
He went straight into the chairman’s office after which he moved to the National Working Committee, NWC hall to brief the press.
As at the time of filling this report, Mr. Sheriff, flanked by the National Secretary is still briefing the press.
