Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has reportedly been released in the United Kingdom after the woman who allegedly took him to court withdrew the case, according to social media influencer Peller.

Peller made the claim during a livestream while responding to a question about Poco Lee’s reported detention in the UK.

“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” Peller said.

Prompt News reports he further claimed that the alleged withdrawal of the case resulted in the dancer’s release from custody.

“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” he added.

Poco Lee had previously been reported to be on remand in a UK prison, with a plea hearing scheduled for September following allegations of sexual offences against him.

However, Peller’s claim that the complainant withdrew the case and that the development led to Poco Lee’s release has not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.

As of the time of reporting, there has been no official confirmation from the relevant UK authorities regarding the reported release or the status of the case.
