Nigeria’s Super Falcons will officially open their training camp in Casablanca on Monday (today) as preparations gather pace for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Prompt News Online reports.
Head coach Justine Madugu last Friday unveiled a 25-player squad for the continental showpiece, with all invited players expected to report to camp on Monday.
The nine-time African champions will spend the early phase of their preparations in Casablanca before relocating to Rabat, where they will play all their Group C matches, on the eve of the tournament.
Nigeria, the defending champions, have been drawn alongside Malawi, Zambia and Egypt in Group C.
The Super Falcons will kick off their title defence against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July, before taking on Zambia and Egypt in their remaining group fixtures.
Madugu’s side will be aiming to secure a record-extending 11th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title and further cement Nigeria’s dominance in African women’s football
Super Falcons Open WAFCON 2026 Camp In Casablanca
The WAFCON 2026 finals will also serve as Africa’s qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, with the four semi-finalists earning automatic qualification for the global showpiece.
The Super Falcons remain the only African nation to have featured at every edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and they will be determined to preserve that remarkable record by reaching the semi-finals of WAFCON 2026 in Morocco.
