‘Sex Contributes To Women’s Glow’ — Actress Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about her personal life, revealing how motherhood, grandmotherhood and relationships have shaped her outlook.

The actress spoke during an appearance on The Morayo Show, where she discussed her journey as a single mother, her family achievements and her decision to become more reserved when dealing with controversies.

Speaking about women’s confidence and appearance, Ojo said she believes happiness and the nature of one’s relationship play important roles in how a person looks and feels.

“We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.

“I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough,” she said.

The actress also spoke about the fulfilment she gets from seeing her children succeed, describing their achievements as one of the highlights of her life.

“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled,” she said.

Prompt News reports Ojo revealed that becoming a grandmother has influenced the way she responds to public criticism and disagreements. She explained that she now avoids unnecessary confrontations because she does not want her daughter and her family to be dragged into controversies.

“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will,” she said.

The actress also revealed that she travelled to Canada to support her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, after the arrival of her grandson through the traditional omugwo practice.

She had earlier spoken about her decision to involve her former husband in Priscilla’s 2025 wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, explaining that she did not allow past disagreements to affect their daughter’s happiness.

According to Ojo, parents should avoid transferring their personal differences to their children.

Priscilla and Juma Jux welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025 after announcing their pregnancy earlier that year. Their wedding ceremonies held in Nigeria and Tanzania attracted widespread attention and became one of the major celebrity events of 2025.
