Popular reality TV personality and entertainer Teddy A has opened up about the heavy emotional burden and professional setbacks he faced following false accusations of domestic abuse against his wife, Bambam.
During a heartfelt conversation with media host Chude Jideonwo, the 37-year-old singer and actor firmly denied the claims, stating that he has never been violent towards his spouse.
He explained that the rumours had a damaging impact on his reputation, influencing how brands, promoters, and the public perceived him, which ultimately affected his income and opportunities.
Recounting the moment he became aware of the allegations, Teddy A said, “When they said I was beating my wife, it was a lot for me. That day, I woke up and went downstairs. My wife was pregnant, and we were just laughing.”
He described how his confusion quickly turned into shock after he noticed a sudden spike in notifications on his phone. “I checked my phone, and I saw my notification going up, and I was like, I didn’t drop any content that is trending. What did I do, or what are they saying now,” he recalled.
As he went through the reactions online, the gravity of the situation became clear. “Then I’m going through comments, and I am surprised. You know my wife is a bit emotional, and she started asking who would have done this.”
Teddy A added that he initially suspected personal enemies or malicious intent. “I thought it was probably one ex or ‘village people,’” he said, noting that his manager advised him to avoid engaging with the controversy. “I called my manager, and he advised me not to fuel the fire and to let it go.”
