Southampton manager Russell Martin has provided an injury update on Paul Onuachu ahead of his side’s clash with Chelsea.
The South Coast club will entertain the Blues at the St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday.
Onuachu recently bounced back to reckoning at the club after he was overlooked in the opening weeks of the season.
The Nigeria international impressed in Southampton’s 3-2 loss to Liverpool last month.
The 30-year-old however sustained an injury in the same game.
The forward missed Sotton’s 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion last Friday.
“We’re hopeful that Paul will be involved on Wednesday, which will be good for us,” Martin was quoted by Yahoo Sports.
The tall striker has made six league appearances for Southampton this season.
