The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Benue on Friday decorated 28 newly promoted officers.
Speaking at the occasion, the Sector Commander, Steve Ayodele, said that the corps had promoted 1,395 across Nigeria, and 28 of them were serving in the state.
Ayodele said that the promotion was a harmonisation exercise approved by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, stressing that it was a demonstration of the commitment of the corps marshal to reposition FRSC.
He further disclosed that the corps marshal recognised the hard work of the newly promoted officers and urged them to use their new positions responsibly.
He stated that the aim was a significant step towards boosting morale and motivating the personnel to strive for excellence in their duties.
The Assistant Comptroller, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), Adams Ongaji, urged the newly promoted officers to double their performances as a way of appreciating the corps marshal for approving their promotions.
Mr Tompev Solomon, Deputy Commandant of Corps, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in a goodwill message advised the officers to continue to do their best and allow God to take the lead.
Meanwhile, the State Coordinator, Special Marshals, Mr Solomon Adaga, encouraged the newly promoted officers to continue to discharge their duties creditably.
Superintendent of the Corps, Ngozi Ahula, who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted officers, appreciated the corps marshal for approving their promotions.
Ahula stated that the promotion would spur them to do more for the corps. (NAN).
