Nigeria defender Calvin Bassey is expected to be fit for Fulham’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Saturday.
Bassey sustained an injury while on international duty last week.
The 27-year-old missed Super Eagles’ win over Ghana through injury and flew home from Morocco before their second friendly against Mali.
But initial assessments have revealed his injury is not as bad as feared, and the £19.3million summer signing from Ajax hopes to be fit for this weekend’s trip to Bramall Lane.
Fulham will be looking to follow up their 3-0 win over Tottenham before the international break as they bid to finish the season strongly.
Brentford’s Frank Onyeka also left the Nigeria camp due to a family matter but he will be available for their game against Manchester United on Saturday.
His availability is a boost for the Bees as they continue to battle against relegation.
